What's New
for 2022 on the Lexus NX?
The new
Lexus NX endures a complete redesign for the 2022 model year, introducing
exciting performance options, widely standard safety integration, and fresh
design elements you and your family will appreciate. Blending a functional
subcompact crossover stance that sits on the larger side with the luxury of any
Lexus, the Lexus NX is the ideal blend of business and pleasure. Take this
model confidently on a new road trip with the kids in the spacious second row,
or flaunt around Birmingham city streets while making a statement. The most
notable new updates include:
- The
addition of a new mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine to a now four-engine
lineup. The mild-hybrid is a 2.4-liter gas engine and dual electric motor
combination with improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. The plug-in hybrid
is powered by an electric motor and a 2.5-liter gas engine for a stunning
302-horsepower.
- Also enjoy
a brand new Digital Key design, smartphone wireless charging pad, and
innovative heads-up display that may have appeared on other models but appears
for the first time on the Lexus NX in its 2022 model iteration.
- The Lexus
Interface joins this years' touchscreen, and a new 14-inch display is
available. This system incorporates over-the-air cloud updates and improved
navigation for safer control of your tech while commuting.
- This is
the first model of the Lexus lineup to include the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0,
which includes all those features you loved from the previous Lexus safety
system with the addition of Digital Latch with Safe Exit Assist. This feature
will allow you to exit your vehicle in an emergency with greater ease.
Exterior
Design
From the
outside, this model features a raked roofline, large mesh grille, massive wheel
wells, with chrome details on the side mirrors and roofline, as well wheels up
to 20-inches. It's sporty and large for its subcompact class, with plenty of delicate
features that prove its refinement.
Interior
Design
Inside
expect a large selection of interior surfaces from woodgrain to black leather
and cloth to red leather in the F SPORT model. It offers 22.7-cubic-feet of
cargo space with all seats upright and a generous 36.1-inches of second-row
legroom, which enables all family members to climb aboard with confidence.
Performance
You'll love
the new engine lineup, which expands from previous dual-engine choices. Now,
you get four options ranging from a standard gas engine that produces
203-horsepower to a turbocharged four-cylinder capable of 275-horsepower. As
for hybrid choices, pick between a mild hybrid option that produces
239-horsepower and a plug-in hybrid option that churns out 302-horsepower.
Technology
A standard
9.8-inch center display brings all of the latest in technology innovation that
Lexus has to offer, equipped with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ and
easy-to-use controls. You'll also enjoy a standard 10-speaker premium sound
system. Those who want more advanced tech can upgrade to a 14-inch center
touchscreen, a heads-up display, a smartphone wireless charge pad, and a
digital cockpit.
Safety
Feel more
secure in this powerhouse than ever with a large and impressive standard
driver's assistance collection. Everything from auto emergency braking to lane
keeping aides to adaptive cruise control and parking assistance comes standard
in the 2022 Lexus NX.
